“Family Centre for me means a lot. It’s the place where I learn languages as well as many other skills through the courses being run at the centre. The family centre has a vital role in supporting and advising people in my situation.Family centre is as important as my heart is, without it I can not survive. This is the same for my fellow asylum seekers and refugees.”

“2005/06 was the year that the voluntary sector was going into meltdown, that all the services we were delivering would stop and organisations would close. It has been a year of challenges and contradictions with more organisations applying for less funding, it has been difficult to continue to lead the sector without compromising the desire to grow the organisation to fully support the people that use our services. It’s been a year of trying to be ready for commissioning of services at a time when our friends in the statutory sector are struggling to balance their own books. ”
