Nuroz (Kurdish New Year) Festival
Many nationalities, ethnic and religious groups in the Near/Middle East and Central Asia, like the Assyrians, Persians, Afghanis, Kurds, and Baha'is celebrate the arrival of spring season. This occasion, mostly celebrated on March 21 (for Baha'is will be then on the 22nd since their day starts at sunset), represent the beginning of these groups' national calendar and their own new year.
